Valve Industry will maintain a growth in 2005,triggered a price war warning

  According to the latest statistics of China General Machinery Industry Association, there are 803pump manufactures in China, which has a nationwide scale, and valve manufactures for nearly 900.In the latest customs statistics in February 2005,the total imports of general machinery industry totaled 666 million U.S. dollars, total exports of 705 million U.S. dollars, in which pump accounted for 2.8793 million sets with an increase of 14.51%; valve manufacturing 175.1 thousand tons, by growth of 47.27%.
  As growth slowed and the impact of the international market, pump industry sales and earnings dropped by 6.5percentage and 4.5percentage over the end of last year. Valve industry maintained a stable intend as last year.
The past two years, a relatively relaxed and good investment environment, and the impact of increase the infrastructure project investment, brings a good development opportunities for pump and valve industry, in addition to individual malicious manufactures trouble the market by sell at loss seriously. In general, the price in pump and valve market in China stays stable, movements occurs every year, which are basically very small margin, but shoddy phenomenon has often occurred in many small enterprises in order to make money ,even some poor quality products take the place of famous brand, as well as the phenomenon that the refurbishment of some waste valves to sell , all these have seriously affected the domestic valve market , and planted a great security risk.
  Legitimate price competition in the market is inevitable, but China is still in the initial stage of a market economy, many policies and regulations are still not effectively bound, extremely easy to fall into a vicious cycle of competition. Low Competition can be described as a “double-edged sword”, which let you take competitive in the market, but also let you loss competition for the lack of quality and service.
